So, I did just that in 2011, covering what I’d written in the article, and now I can refer people back to that.
Take a couple of minutes to have a look – I view it as a life affirming story, inspiration to appreciate the abundance we have around us, something to make us think twice when we moan about life’s trivialities.
Let me know what you think either here, or at that post, and do feel free to share it around – thanks!

Waht a wonderful man he must have been. His efforts saved so many lives. His example shows us that we should never give up on what we believe will be right for the lives of others. Brought a tear to my eye.
Hi Francene,
Yes, you’re right – it could be said the amount of people he saved was in the hundreds. He didn’t know the tower would come down when he went back in, but it was brave and selfless. A story worth remembering,
cheers,
Gordon
Wow! I can’t believe he was able to save that many people, needless to say that he had the nerve to go back in. Absolutely remarkable, thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks Sarah,
Remarkable is the right word. I’m amazed that today I can’t see a single programme about the day on our main tv channels, it’s why I like to share this particular story myself.
Cheers, Gordon
I remember this from last year, Gordon, and am grateful that you shared it again today. What a wonderful example. It’s important to know how brave and good ordinary people can be. Thank you.
Yes, just one story in amongst the throng of them from that day, but it hit home with me, and I do like to share it.
cheers,
Gordon

Thanks Dannie for stopping by,
cheers,
Gordon
I still remember this story from last year, it found a place in my heart. Thank you for sharing again.
I’m glad it’s also found some more new people this year, I’ll keep sharing it!
